The Estate Sale Process

A general look at what is involved in an estate sale.
The Interview
During the free, no obligation interview and inspection, we will make an inspection of what is available to sell in the estate and then we will sit down with you and discuss frankly the options available, their costs and the likely outcomes.

Cleaning and sorting
Our experienced staff will come in and start going through everything; sorting, cleaning, repairing, organizing, arranging and generally laying the groundwork for your successful estate sale. Any personal items such as photos, important papers, money, etc., will be set aside for the family.

Research and Pricing
With over 25 years experience in the antique business, appraisals, auctions, antique shows, and estate sales, we are constantly on the watch for those unrecognized items which can easily slip by the family or the less experienced and may be worth much, much more than anyone expected.

Advertising and Promotion
No matter how much preparation is put into the estate sale, it will not matter if either no buyers or the wrong buyers show up. Our years of experience allow us to bring out the most buyers for your type of merchandise.

The Sale
Security is always one of our main considerations. We try to have a staff member in each room, which not only helps with security but also with sales, as there is always someone available to answer questions.

Cleanup
The property is always left broom clean, with debris hauled off and trash picked up.

Settlement
Prompt settlement with a full listing of items sold within seven days of the end of the estate sale.
